My limerick:
There once was a man with a flute
He traded it
all for a lute
He played it all day In a new fangled way
And showed the world
how to toot by

When I play the flute,
The people just holler and hoot!
They love to hear me play.
Until the end of the day.
Maybe I'll learn to play the loot!

The Flute
The flute is a woodwind instrument that has
a comfortable range three octaves above a middle C. The flute, made in
wooden or silver, is an instrument that is held crosswise. Wooden flutes
produce a richer sound, while the silver gives it a more sparkly quality
sound. Wooden or silver, the flute gives off a beautiful high-sounding
tone.
The flute known by most people today is the one created by Theobald Boehm
in 1847. The flute he created divides up into three sections with sixteen
keys altogether. When playing the flute, having excellent posture is extremely
important because that gives people more air support when having to hit
high notes.
From Beethoven to Rossini, many composers wrote pieces that focused
on the flute. They include:
Rossini: William Tell Overture
Debussy: Prélude à l'après-midi d'un France
Beethoven: Symphony Number 6
