Sean loved the Beatles so much that his house was entirely covered with posters, nicely framed old records, and anything else related to the group that he could put his hands on. He taught at the local middle school. He discovered that his students were not really familiar with the band, and he took it as a call for action. Sean got together with the English literature teacher and asked her to introduce The Beatles' lyrics to the students. That was not in the curriculum. Besides, she was more concerned about Shakespeare and she had a strong sense of following the rules. The Beatles sounded only like fun and not very literary and of historical value to her. There was only one option left: an extracurricular activity for students to dance, listen, read, and talk about the music and lyrics on Friday nights. The next semester it will become a club with three sponsors: Arthur, the English teacher, and the PE teacher. The next semester they plan to do the same about Edgar Alan Poe. | Jennifer Neal |

As I played the guitar like a loon
in Jacky McDermik's saloon
Jack cried "this is art!
why it's quite avante garde!"
but the truth is I was out of tune
